About the hotel
Situated in a beautiful riverside location, the Corus hotel Bedford is the perfect place to relax after a long day. It's location makes it the perfect place from which to visit the surrounding shires of Bedford, Cambridge and Oxford.
With excellent links to the A1 and M1 and built around a 13th Century barn and 17th Century manor house, the hotel still retains the character of the original beamed and timbered buildings. A stunning location on the riverbank of the Great Ouse and surrounded by 3.5 acres of landscaped gardens, it a perfect base for all types of stay.
The town of Bedford is noted for its excellent shops, unrivalled recreational amenities and The Great Ouse River, which is the central and attractive feature of the town.
It is a good base for visiting Woburn Abbey and Safari Park, Whipsnade and the Shuttleworth collection of historic aeroplanes at Old Warden.
On the following dates the Hotel restaurant will be closed for dinner due to functions. Limited room service available

All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. Rates are per room per night only inc. VAT (or local taxes) at the current rate.
Settlement of the bill in full, less any advance payments must be made prior to departure from the hotel.
There is no charge, and any deposit paid will be returned, if a guaranteed reservation is cancelled in line with the hotels policy. Cancellations: should the need arise, immediately cancel your reservation online. Amendments: simply cancel and rebook online. However, if it is within 2 days of your intended arrival, contact the Corus Reservations Office. Instructions are contained in your booking confirmation email.
Children under 6 years stay free on the basis of one child sharing per adult. Cots are available free of charge, subject to availability. Please enter requests for extra child beds and/or cots, noting the age of the child in the comments box when booking online.
Group Booking Policy: Reservations where 6 or more rooms under the same name for the same arrival date will be classed as a Group Booking and may require a deposit or full pre-payment before the date of arrival.
Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available on request.

- Cecil Higgins Art Gallery (4 km) - The Gallery is an unusual combination of recreated Victorian Mansion (originally the home of the Higgins family) and adjoining modern gallery housing an internationally renowned collection of watercolours, prints and drawings, ceramics, glass and lace.
- Bedford Museum (4 km) - It is situated within the gardens of Bedford Castle, beside the Great Ouse Embankment and is adjacent to Cecil Higgins Art Gallery. The charming courtyard and well laid out galleries provide an excellent setting for the varied nature of the collections.
- Moot Hall (9 km) - Elstow Moot Hall was built in the late 15th century as a market-house in connection with the village fairs. It was used for storing the stalls and other equipment and as a place for hearing disputes arising from the fairs.
